My name is Cindy Campbell and I live in Georgetown, Texas. Music is my passion and I have been teaching for over 32 years. I have a family and my husband's name is Michael and we've been married for 28 years. We have a 24, 19 & a 14 year old.
I mostly teach children but enjoy teaching all ages and have experience with a wide range including adults! I took piano lessons starting at the age of 8 and continued up through high school. I was very active with the piano and music in our church and played for various ministries such as prison ministry and nursing home ministries. I was also a church pianist for 7 years. I've played for weddings, special occasions, I was a choir accompianist and also a Music Teacher in a private school. In addition, in my experience, a few years ago I was given the opportunity to speak on the radio, Heaven 600 am, in an interview about music. I have also been a music teacher for a private school in Texas. I hold a Bachelors Degree from Towson University in Maryland.
I presently and primarily teach piano lessons in my home studio in Georgetown but I additionally give lessons for One Day Academy in Georgetown.
I teach the traditional method where students learn to read notes, play piano technic and theory. I use Alfred, John Thompson's, Michael Aaron, Faber and Faber, or Schaum's piano courses for children. ALL beginners through advanced level are welcome! It's never too late to learn! I also use a variety of supplemental books in teaching my students such as classical, pop, jazz, blues, Christian, favorites and Christmas music on each student's level. All methods are traditional and both widely favored and used. There are also yearly recitals which are not required but a lot of fun. These are held in the Spring.
My students say that I am a very patient and understanding teacher. If your child or you (the person taking lessons) has any learning disability of any sort it would be to your advantage to let me know. I don't have any problems teaching children with ADHD or dyslexia as I have experience with both.
No lessons on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays
